Foto: Rikke Ehlers NilssonSom en del af projektet Billedkunstnerisk Udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 inviterer SKAL Contemporary og en række nordjyske kunstinstitutioner til portfolio-review for professionelle billedkunstnere bosat i Region Nordjylland.
Vi forventer at udvælge 10-15 kunstnere, der skal til samtale med omkring 4 kuratorer i møder af ca. 20 minutter. Møderne afholdes på Kunsthal Nord i Aalborg 22. august 2023 i tidsrummet 13-17.
Hvordan er ansøgningsprocessen?
Arrangørerne bag Billedkunstnerisk Udviklingsforløb inviterer kunstnere til at deltage på baggrund af netværk og kunstneres henvendelse. Hvis du gerne vil søge om deltagelse, vil vi bede dig sende en mail med følgende:
1. Bekræftelse på, at du kan deltage i sessionen på Kunsthal Nord 22. august 2023
2. CV
3. Links til din hjemmeside og/eller sociale medier
4. Information om hvilke pronominer du ønsker, at der anvendes
5. Information om hvorvidt du gerne vil holde møder på dansk eller engelsk
6. Evt. ønsker til hvilke kuratorer, du helst vil møde, samt tilkendegivelse af, hvorvidt der er kuratorer, som du ikke finder det relevant at mødes med. Vi vil gøre vores allerbedste for at imødekomme alles ønsker

Hvem kan søge om deltagelse?
Professionelle billedkunstnere bosat i Region Nordjylland. Deltagerne skal have en uddannelse fra et dansk eller udenlandsk kunstakademi. Vi ser bort fra dette krav, hvis deltagerne har en aktiv, professionel kunstnerisk praksis.Vi forventer at udvælge 10-15 kunstnere, der skal til samtale med omkring 4 kuratorer i møder af ca. 20 minutter. Om Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024
Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 er et projekt initieret af SKAL Contemporary og Nordjyllands Kunstnerværksteder, der har til formål at facilitere øget professionalisering og udvikling blandt billedkunstnere bosiddende i Region Nordjylland gennem en række aktiviteter i 2023 og 2024. Projektet arbejder desuden med at facilitere stærkere netværksstrukturer mellem aktører på den nordjyske billedkunstscene samt at etablere en række samarbejder med tidshorisonter, der går ud over projektperioden.Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 er venligst støttet af Region Nordjylland og Aalborg Kommune.
As part of the Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 SKAL Contemporary and a number of North Jutland art institutions invite visual artists receding in the North Denmark Region to join our portfolio review session.
Who can apply for participation?
Professional visual artists living in the North Denmark Region. Participants must have an education from a Danish or an international art academy. We disregard this requirement if the participants have an active, professional artistic practice.
We expect to select 10-15 artists who will meet 4 curators in meetings of approx. 20 minutes. The meetings will be held at Kunsthal Nord in Aalborg on August 22nd 2023 between 1-5pm
What is the application process like?
The organizers behind Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 invite artists to participate on the basis of their network and artists' inquiries. If you would like to apply for participation, please send an email with the following:
1. Confirmation that you can participate in the session at Kunsthal Nord on August 22nd 2023
2. CV
3. Links to your website and/or social media
4. Information on which pronouns you prefer
5. Information on whether you prefer to have your meetings in Danish or English
6. Optional: state the curators that you would most like to meet, and state if there are curators that you don’t find it relevant to meet with. We will do our very best to accommodate everone’s wishes.

Before the curator meetings, the selected artists will be asked to submit a short biography (max 600 characters) and a portfolio illustrating the artist's practice.

About Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024
Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 is a project initiated by SKAL Contemporary and Nordjyllands Kunstnerværksteder, which aims to facilitate increased professionalization and development among visual artists residing in the North Denmark Region through a series of activities in 2023 and 2024. The project also aims to facilitate stronger network structures between actors on the North Jutland visual arts scene as well as establishing a number of collaborations with time horizons that go beyond the project period.Billedkunstnerisk udviklingsforløb 2023-2024 is kindly supported by the North Denmark Region and the Municipality of Aalborg.
